As a kid most of us grow up eating some kind of frozen pizza snacks.

Pizza pops, mini pizzas, pizza bagel bites, pizza pockets - etc.

We grew up on pizza pockets at our house.

Whether it was microwaved or in the oven [ not that any kids ever had enough patience for that ] we ate it too quick when it was still piping hot, burned our mouths & went for the second after we had no taste buds left.

Then we grow up and can’t justify having them for a meal once a week anymore so we hunt for a replacement - in enters the calzone. Or an adult pizza pocket as we like to call it.

We’re going to make the dough, get creative with our fillings and sip a version of my favorite cocktail as it bakes.
